Target Population: Children, ages 2-18, who have been victims of sexual abuse.
Brief Description:
Trauma-Focused Play Therapy has been rated by the CEBC in the area of Trauma Treatment for Children. Trauma-Focused Play Therapy is conducted with children ages 2-12 who have been sexually abused. Trauma-Focused Play Therapy is based on integrated theories of child development, play therapy, and systems theory. Attention is focused on the child's individual needs post sexual abuse as well as the impact of the abuse on family members.
