Brief Description:

The Workforce Development Center has been rated by the CEBC in the area of Youth Transitioning into Adulthood. The Workforce Development Center, developed by the Living Classrooms Foundation, provides services to youth ages 16-24 who are currently in the foster/kinship care system, or who have been in the past. The goal is to help the youth transition to independence by assisting him/her find gainful employment, as well as learn life skills which includes: financial literacy, educational goals, vocational goals, housing, and transportation options. Intensive retention services are also provided to ensure that the youth maintains employment at an established employment partner for at least one year.
